...view input/state/output of a single cell
The colors used to represent the value of cell input/state/output are helpful
to estimate the results of a simulation. If you want to analyze the details
of a simulation, you need accurate values of cell input, cell state and
cell output. The CNN Simulator offers two facilities: the grid viewer
and the trajectory viewer.
The grid viewer displays the current value of the input/state/output
of one specific cell whereas the trajectory viewer plots the history of
several cells simultaneously.
For information about the trajectory viewer see How
to...use the trajectory viewer.
To view the current value of the input/state/output of a cell press the

A small orange window appears (grid viewer). The accurate value of the
cell input/state/output is displayed in this window. A small triangle in
the corner points to the selected cell.
If the current state is being displayed, SHIFT + mouse-clicking
will display the state of the selected cell. When the current output is
being displayed, SHIFT + mouse-clicking will display the output of the selected
To close this viewer just click with the mouse somewhere inside the grid.
